    -RSS Feeds
    -Learnt more about Wiki

    I need to:

    -Continue to refresh my memory about Dreamweaver
    -Remember about wiki and what I can do with it

  2. Learnt this week:
    1. Tables can create good page layouts.
    2. Verdana font is good at sizes 12 and less, but not higher than 12.
    3. The uni can always say they are improving the network, but at least the first three computers i try to log onto will not work -.-

    Need to work on:
    1. Finding colours that fit well together for website themes.
    2. Use of a secondary navigation bar.

  3. I have learnt about wiki, how to use a portable firefox, and upload files into my page.

    I need to work more on wiki to get the use to it and understan it more.

    -About contrasting and complimenting colour schemes
    -How to set up RSS feeds

    1. Portable Firefox (a godsend)
    2. How a wiki will help with the module
    3. How much I’ve forgotten about Dreamweaver over the summer

    Need to work on:
    1. How not to use tables in web design
    2. Making better use of blogs and wiki’s

  6. Things that I have learned this week:
    1. How to use portable firefox and configure different settings.
    2. How to create my own wiki and set up links to other from and to other pages.
    3. How to upload files to a wiki and display them in a browser.

    Things that I need to work on:
    1. My dreamweaver skills need to have a good brush up
    2. Need to look at website background colors, not very good at selecting a good colour for the background that is not too overpowering but doesn’t make the page look to amateurish.
    3. Need to learn how to work in relactive rather than absolute

  7. Discovered/learnt this week:
    1. Intro to Dreamweaver (having used FrontPage before) … checking Help screens for nested tables and reminding myself how to place an anchor on the same page.
    2. Adding a widget to my blog for admin work.
    3. Portable Firefox – very impressed!!

    Knowledge required:
    1. How to upload my web page to wiki and make a link on my blog – Help!
    2. It’s 2 years since I last took a web design module – so a bit rusty!

    1. Rss feeds
    2. Portable firefox and how it works
    3. Still continuing to learn more about blogs blogging and the nature of wikis on the web (it’s all new to me)

    Further learning
    1. I need to recap on the variuos ways to use dreamweaver
    2. Need to reserch colour themes and what works well
    3. How to make a picture relative sizing if i can?
